Saying Goodbye to Our
MANGO 1
Health Record Portal
Mango 1 End of Life | May 1, 2024
Many of you have interacted with the “Mango 1” platform for accessing your health records; this has been of enormous value over the past two decades. However, as an organization sensitive to cybersecurity risks, we recognize that Mango 1 needs to be decommissioned to preserve the integrity of the information of our SOs in every corner of the globe. Please take note of the following key points regarding this transition:
-
The decision to shut Mango 1 down is motivated by MHI's commitment to preserving the security and privacy of our clients, and facilitating the transition to a new era of patient care.
-
The MANGO program (Management and Nurture of Those Going Overseas) has always been chiefly a program and care package, not a website. The website has existed to facilitate the Management and Nurture, and now, 20 years since its inception, new platforms have begun emerging to fill its role.
-
Record Preservation: Your records will not be last past the end-of-life date. Our staff will continue to have access to your complete records.

Moving forward, our communication regarding your health summaries will continue through Microsoft’s SharePoint service. Additionally, our in-office Practice Solutions Software (PSS) will enable direct communication with patients via the "Ocean" messaging and questionnaire system. Training will be made available to ensure seamless adaptation to these tools. International Medical Services (IMS) is essentially the home of PSS and Ocean messaging, and thus our immediate communication of medical results and recommendations will come via IMS moving forward, rather than MHI. We will continue to generate the reports through SharePoint simultaneously, as a summary for the sending organizations and international workers in their respective journeys.
Should you need access to your Mango 1 records after the May 1, 2024 decommissioning date, please contact us directly.
With much appreciation and thanks for your patience in this time of transition.
Warm regards,
Karen Stel
